The camera still works, but I don't use it nor care. The slave phone is also weatherproof. This sounds interesting !! How does one do this ? and how are the tasks between device 1 and 2 split ? Special software ? @Alf, I like the electric tape idea ! Should you ever do it, please post a high resolution HDR photo taken with your iPhone. (And yes, humor beats irony and sarcasm by far - thank you for "playing")

It stays in my pocket. * My old waterproof Android "slave" phone is mounted on a RAM X-Grip. * My "slave" phone connects to that Wi-Fi connection using the passphrase. * I run off-line and on-line GPS map software on the "slave" phone. Google Maps uses the Wi-Fi connection to gets its usual fix of data whenever it needs it. This set-up will work with Android and Apple phones, the same or mixed. RE: QUAD LOCK IPHONE SYSTEM - j3gq_imp - 01-25-2021 if the slave phone can handle map graphics and wifi, what’s the benefit of using two phones ? just using an all-you-can-eat data plan on the primary phone ? The slave phone takes the punishment of bike vibrations and other riding and weather-related impairments. That is the motive. The good "daily" phone stays in your pocket. The slave phone has no telco provider SIM card. |
