Picked up my new 2016 Bonneville yesterday. I got the T120 Black model and it looks great! Traded my 2002 Bonnie.

Only had time for the ride home yesterday. Plan to put some miles on it tomorrow

Kept the CB 1100 by the way!

Cool I rode down to my dealer today. No Bonnies, no Thruxtons, no Street Twins.

Can't wait to hear a comparison of the two you have. Couple forum members have Truxtons on order.

Pics, or it didn't happen! Big Grin

Congrats on the new bike. The one thing I noticed about the black model is that the radiator virtually disappears when viewed from most angles. I really like that version more than the others.

Posting pics is beyond my skill set right now!!!

A quick 100 mile yesterday revealed the Bonnie is much like my old 2002 with more of everything. Power, brakes, features, 6 speed box etc. Bonnie feels more "flick able" than the CB. Ride is harsher than the CB. Engine feels like it has more grunt than the CB but is not as free revving.

The only irritation so far is that the switches are different. I am honking horn when I reach for the turn indicators!

Big comparison test in Motorcycle News today, Thruxton v RnineT v XJR1300. The Thruxton wins easily with the BMW coming second.

She's in, I'm picking her up on Saturday, and my dealer has been teasing me with a series of pix: [Image: cecdc6ab605e4b6f2e62e1e7464f974a.jpg][Image: 4adec7c0d5fa14b1534e27153b0cb621.jpg]

My silver Thruxton R arrived at the dealership today so I left work early to check it out. Wow. What a gorgeous motorcycle. That long, slender fuel tank is how the world is meant to be.

But.

I'm 6'6" and as much as this bike would be incredible to own, for the way I fit on it (or don't), my money is better kept in my wallet. I'm fine with the clip-ons but the seat-to-peg distance doesn't work. At the end of the day, it's just too much money for something that's not going to be perfect for me. So, with a heavy heart, I asked for my deposit back. The CB1100 is safe for now.

That's not to say I won't get a wild hair in two weeks and change my mind and decide that I just can't live without it. It's happened before. But for now, my CB will do just fine, thank you very much. Not that I'm comparing the bikes, because in my opinion they're not comparable, but for the retro bike in my stable I know I'd absolutely love the Triumph but I really dig the Honda just the same. But that tank, oh my...

Wow....guess that's that, lol

Gorgeous bike, but I wouldn't be able to do the clip-ons regardless of the rest of the fit
