I had to be rescued by a friend with a pickup truck several times due to carb issues. Had them cleaned and re-built several times. Was afraid to ride more than 10 miles from home. Sadly, I sold it last fall.
So now, bikeless and considering a CB1100, or maybe an NT700V....neither of each I've ever seen. I wouldn't call myself an enthusiast, just always had a motorcycle. The best stress reliever for me in just taking a ride somewhere for no reason.
It's about 0 degrees here this morning, but want to be prepared for Spring.

You may have to travel a bit for the one you want. I'm a little south of you near Morgantown, WV and ended up finding one last month posted on FB Marketplace in York, PA which is around 3.5 hours east. There are almost always some listed on Cycletrader that aren't too far away, but a lot of the listings are by dealers who seem to have high asking prices.

Good luck in your search, Wagon. Seems like I've seen them on Craig's regularly until recently. They're out there, but might become more available as the weather gets nicer and people start thinking about their dormant motorcycles a bit more.
As for buzziness? That might be a hit-or-miss thing from bike-to-bike. I've never experienced buzziness to any level that made me think about it.

The CX wasn’t a retro classic, it was classic. It didn’t have enough power for two up riding, but it was a fun bike to ride. Hard to explain how some bikes just feel great on the road, and others give you a great feeling. This bike did both.
The CBR1100xx was undeniably a fast machine, but terrible front forks and a long stretch to the bars. I traded in for the TL1000s which was not as fast but it worked for me in every way.
The CB1100, was disappointing because I expected it to be so much better than it was (for me).

I almost bought new a 1984/85 SVO Mustang. In hindsight, and for more reasons than aesthetics, I'm glad I didn't. However, as to the looks of the Fox-bodies -- If you grew up drooling over the first few Mustang generations when you were too young to drive and then had to suffer through the Mustang II years once you finally got your license, you might have found the Fox-bodies, if not attractive, at least a tolerable skin for the 5.0 V8.
And my CB1100 is definitely cooler than a Mustang II <--- obligatory forum motorcycle reference.

My answer has been found, Crampbuster. Been on a few rides, without ANY finger numbness.
For me, it was never the bike's fault, but my palm was in that nerve pressure zone against the bars. My flatter bars increased the pressure.
