Exactly the same for me. The CB750 I had before the CB1100 ran 5500 RPM at 70. I really prefer this new bike as it is quite enough to think over the exhaust.

Like the OP, I'm tempted to buy one of these but can't find a local dealer that has one available for a test ride. And it seems that all of the "leftover" 2013 models are non-ABS, and I was hoping for ABS. Thoughts?

Too bad you're in NC. If you were closer to CO, I'd throw you the keys and just ask that you wash it before bringing it back.

Thoughts?I surely can't speak for you, but I took a chance and bought mine without a test-ride, and I'm in love with the bike! Aside from maybe an insurance break, I couldn't care less about lacking abs or the deluxe package, and now that I own one, I also don't care that it's a 5 speed instead of a six speed either.

You are exactly right, was looking on line and found that they had this bike for sale at my local dealer. Traded my 2009 Harley FXDL the next day.

I was following the Honda and other reports on this bike since they announced it was coming. It wasn't until 3 years later Honda offered it to the USA. When I finally cleared out my garage and was ready to buy, I had a devil of a time finding one available, it seemed that everywhere I was just a bit too late and they were already sold. When I called a dealer one evening and they said "Yes we have it here", I showed up the next morning and bought it on the spot. (After a bit of a price haggle).
My point is, if you do find one- BUY IT ASAP.

I love everything about the ride. The feel. The wind. The control over the equipment that the clutch and gearbox gives.
