As one of the oldest on this Forum, I'll offer my opinion. I loved my CB1100 and I hated selling it. It was one of the best handling bikes I ever owned. I don't know how fast my '81 GS1100 went because the speedometer only went to 85. I know a few times I was at what i laughingly referred to as "Warp One," and it was fun, but I was a lot younger. These days, I need a bike that won't fall out from under me unexpectedly (like my 04 R1150RT did), and the CB was very dependable and good-looking bike. Injuries at my age that would have healed quickly and been no bother a few years back can be much more trouble now, so my perspective has changed. I am looking for a lighter bike that I can enjoy now, like maybe a Yamaha 650 V-twin. My wife did promise she would kill me if I bought another motorcycle, so I may have to rent one. Bike, not wife.
