I also recently upgraded from the NH750 to a 2014 CB1100 and it's a dream, the true descendent of the Nighthawk. As for 50 MPH in 5th gear, well, if you shift quickly and by-the-book for your tooling-around-town riding, you'll be in 6th at 37 MPH and you'll soon be getting 50+ MPG!
