I think Cormanus has the most heavily toned headers based on posted images. His almost looks like brown-bronze anodized. To get there takes a lot of emotional tolerance, or at the other extreme, don't care at all, ... or just getting to the "I don't care" state-of-mind. Nevertheless, in that context they look quite good.

I don’t mind the fact that they will change over time. I got some black crap on the pipes and got some BLUE OFF I think what it is and the black spots did come off,but so did the tint on the pipes.

Oh man, a "clean spot". That just creates all sorts of imbalance issues for some people. A spot that reminds the rider, "Is that what my pipes are supposed to look like?".

^^^ That raises an interesting question: what are the pipes ‘supposed’ to look like after 100,000 kilometres of riding? I’d suggest that if Honda had expected them to be sparkling chrome, they would have fitted the double walled chrome headers found on the DLX and 2017 models. It’s a pity they didn’t.

Pity -shmitty. I like that the 100,000km pipes look weathered. Plus I like to keep the things that are supposed to stay shiny shiny and if that included the header, then I'd have more shining to do. Screw that.
