RE: Rubber Lever End Thingies - Teamwalker_imp - 02-27-2015 Gentlemen, I hate to open this can of worms, and I know the part # has been posted. But, is there a preferred year/model/manufacturer (1972/CB750/Honda) for this part? Are they always Honda? Want to order for my new CB1100, but want to get the correct ones! Thanks in advance, Craig
RE: Rubber Lever End Thingies - Lord Popgun - 02-27-2015 There is only one part number. Ferret brought it up as old bikes having them and it took off from there. Heck, I even put them on my ST and that was a job as the lever end balls are larger. ![]() And now Cormanus will make a joke...
RE: Rubber Lever End Thingies - the Ferret - 02-27-2015 Craig Honda part number 95010-16001 you will need 2 of that part number RE: Rubber Lever End Thingies - Hedge_imp - 02-27-2015 Just thinking out loud . . . but if you install these thing's how do you get the "Naps" on? I for one can't stand the look of the stock lolly-pops. It was the first thing I removed from my Bonne. I wonder if this new CB1100 will be as agile between lanes as my Bonne is . . . RE: Rubber Lever End Thingies - the Ferret - 02-27-2015 Naps? Ya lost me there lolly-pops? Do you mean mirrors? between lanes? as in lane splitting? This site is great. Teamwalker... adding RLET's to your bike might make the bike look cooler but it will also make it slower. You see, rubbers are not as aerodynamic as polished aluminum... And remember the same thing about the next seemingly 'un'necessary part... Fork Gaiters. They really add a lot of drag... Now if you have the black standard, every thing I just said is wrong... they look great on that bike and actually make that bike faster. But on the red ones... some of us swim upstream with the group on that one. (And someone 'else' will no doubt point that out shortly). Just my two cents... which is two cents more than it's worth. . Have fun!! Which is what we all like to do... I'm glad you found this site.
