What's wrong with that? You could complement the "Wind Shear Screen" with a "Castrator Rack" from an old Triumph fuel tank. Wink

Made me think of a story I just have to share, a little off topic, but still related (snowmobiles instead of motorcycles.)

A buddy of mine (Lou) has land up in Eagle River WI. We ride the bikes up there to stay at the cottage, snowmobile and dirt bike the beautiful trails. Lou always has the fastest toys. One year he was up snowmobiling with a buddy of his on the latest, most powerful snowmobile available (don't remember what kind it was, doesn't matter). Lou's buddy wanted to try out the fast bike, so they switched machines and went riding.

After a while Lou looks in the rear view mirror and doesn't see his buddy, so he doubles back to find him. Eventually he sees the snow bike wrapped around a tree and his buddy lying on the ground near by. He was alive, but injured. Apparently he ran into the tree and went flying over the handlebars. Along the way the handlebar caught just right and RIPPED HIS LEFT NUT OFF!!! Lou rushed him to the hospital and he was eventually OK, but ever since then he has had the nickname 'Old One Nut'. This is a TRUE story (still makes me cringe every time I think of it.)

I took it off when I got my Road Comet 2 and love that one so much it is not coming off. Let me know if you are interested.

So I am wondering what do you like about the Road Comet 2 over the Dart? I am not trying to hijack this thread but curious.

I mostly like the looks better, although the Dart also looks good.. The Dart however looks like it was added to the bike, whereas the RC looks like it came from the factory. Once I put the RC on I get compliments and inquiries about it on a very regular basis. Does a little better job with wind protection as well.

I have the Puig screen because it's under $50 and serves the need but I agree about the Comet, it just looks like it belongs.

As far as designing a metal wind screen, the Puig style might fit the bill over the dart.

Thanks, I hadn't seen the Puig style yet. I actually kind of like the PUIG "New Generation" version. I cant find a good side profile view of it though, only the isometric stock photos.. Need more angles!
