To me the '14 DLX vibe is different: a bit less sporty /a bit more conservative and classy. Looking at the images provided, I just don't think that black wheels work nearly as well as the OEM silver wheels do as the silver wheels nicely compliment the silver engine (and vice versa).

Guth,

I really like the two tone wheels on the 2013 CB11. Second for me would be all silver. Black loses too much detail. I'm just not a fan of all blacked out stuff. I like the two tone engine on the 2013 bikes as well.

BTW, I installed type2 low handle bar and love it so much!
Feel like cruiser bike transformed to sports bike. Thumbs Up

Dude, I have been following this thread because I enjoy all the codgers who see your interest in black rims as a desecration of the DLX (Big Grin), but after looking at your Photoshop image a dozen or so times I really like the black side covercovers. Silver looks sedate to me, though beautiful. Even though the CBs are not sport bikes, I don't want mine to look tranquil! I will definitely be replacing the side covers like you did. The low bars also look sano, I will be copying them as well. Thanks for the indirect inspiratinspiration!

Oh, and get those rims blacked out already!

Thanks for all your opinions! Really appreciate it.
I decided to keep those wheels natural silver.
If I put Moriwaki black dual pipes someday, then I'll think about black rims again. Rolleyes
