RE: RELOCATION OF REAR TURN SIGNALS - Chuckk_imp - 02-06-2019

ahh yes.. the good old days.. we used to ride our dirt bikes out of hungry valley.. sometimes over to the hot springs.. what adventures we had.. it sounds like you had your share too doc.. beautiful country.. do you remember "owl's barn" .. ANYWAY !! .. back to the topic of our CB's .. I received my 3m 5200 sealant today.. also my new valves for the rims.. with shipping and taxes, the 2 valves ran me just about $30. the sealant was about $15. for a 3oz. tube.. I will do just my front rim to start with.. I have my Shinko 777's on order and they should be in any time now..my plan is to use only the 3m sealant, individually applied to every spoke nut .. I will hold off on any sealing tape at this time.. the sealing tape will be my plan "B" .. "why is there not enough time to do it right, but always enough time to do it again" .. I hope this isn't my sad story ..

With two other riders that I worked with at LADWP, circa mid to late seventies, we went from Hungry Valley off road area across country to Sespe Hot Springs, then on to Ojai. I carried extra fuel.
Crossing the creek, a VW baja bug was doing a lot of clutching getting across rocks in the creek, which was almost carb level on my Enduro.

Ah, fond memories.

No idea the route, as I cannot see trails in that area on Google Maps.

I do not remember Owl's Barn, but neither do I drink.

My cb1100 came with hepco and becker bags and the light relocation was done for me. If you look at my Tail of the dragon thread or my new member thread you should be able to see a picture of the lights from behind.

I'll take a few close ups tomorrow and post them with the wrong orientation.

those are some good sized bags there big sheep.. I couldn't make out the directionals very well though.. I thought about getting larger bags, when I bought the ones I have.. in decided on smaller bags that seemed to fit the size of the bike..but now I wonder.. I am not planning on any longer trips than maybe a 500 miler.. that would be a one day ride and I wouldn't have the need to carry extra clothing.. now one day trips with my wife and her purse leave me wanting for more storage !! ..

Chuckk, apologies for the edit. I tried to split the post for you and mucked it up. It’s intact except for the gum chewing statement.
