If there were video of my crash it would not be graphic enough to be removed from youtube.

In my case, we went down braking and didn't hit the car, but the bike hit the ground hard and had a short slide.

A mechanic said the frame and forks look straight - on visual inspection. I rode it home from the shop - at low speeds, and it seemed balanced.

What should I look for?

The big ticket items are the instruments and tank. (Bars are crucial but nominal.) After that, I hope it's all cosmetic.

When you buy an oem tank does it come finished or unfinished?

Do any whitehouse folks have criticisms of your tanks?

Ciao, Enzo. Molto grazie!

Si, I'm grateful to have walked away, or rather hobbled. The following weeks were rough.

The driver was liable, but uninsured. He did offer me, "a couple hundred for my trouble," before the police arrived. My insurance coverage was minimal, so the expenses are mine. Expensive lessons, eh.

I am so sorry for your troubles. Then the poor coverage on top of it.

I will offer this to help... I have a set of like new plastic Air Filter Covers and a Chain Guard that I removed from my bike. If yours are damaged I will send them free as long as you pay the shipping. They have been on eBay a very long time. Rather send to a person in need on this group than sell for dirt cheap. PM Me if interested.

Beer That's the spirit! What a generous gesture! Thank you, Vise!

I shan't take you up on it, but perhaps someone else could.

The way we went down, the lower ChipBeckSpec bars destroyed the tank (and themselves) along with the tach. I lost the R foot peg and my leg cracked the side cover, but the filter covers look mint! The headlight and signals are damaged and the muffler is scraped but the only hit to the engine is the crankcase cover.

(I remain optimistic there's no bad damage to the tree and forks.)

And RLET's should cover up the rash on the brake lever Smile

Well I guess they will stay on eBay! LOL!

I do not have any other parts for you sorry.

Good luck and Gods speed to a recovery for you and your bike.
