I could just concentrate on a tiny clear spot right in front of me while everything rushing by on both sides from that clear spot front of me was a blur. It was very cool, but I knew if I owned one I would die. Even the 79 CBX didn't even give me that feeling, or the 83 GS 1100E. Don't know what made that one feel differently. Did that tiny spot keep moving ahead? (I bet it did) (11-27-2018, 05:20 AM)Bheezy27403_imp Wrote: If you don't like riding motorcycles the V-Max is a fine choice. It's definitely not for everyone, I found that out early in my riding career. But, the acceleration is just ridiculous and like you said, put a check next to that box. They could have named the bike "Locomotive", or just plain "Loco". RE: 2006 Vmax - Bheezy27403_imp - 11-27-2018 Oh it's loco alright. I recommend everyone riding one at one time. Just make sure it's on a runway with plenty of room to slow down. The tunnel vision Ferret speaks of is very real. What a crazy looking motorcycle. Looks like a mad PBR bull ready to toss you off and gore ya. RE: 2006 Vmax - GoldOxide_imp - 11-28-2018 I don't think I have ever seen a legacy V-Max speed on local roads and highways. The riders seem to cruise by quite quietly - if not proudly. Maybe they are trying to conserve fuel. RE: 2006 Vmax - Cormanus - 11-28-2018 Or are they hanging on for dear life too frightened to twist the throttle? RE: 2006 Vmax - GoldOxide_imp - 11-28-2018 Definitely a possibility. |
