Looking at the specifications it has no adjustable damping on the suspension, front or rear, just preload. I find that pretty strange for a touring bike which will take differing loads. Honda have come in at the budget end of pricing though, hats off to them for that. It has cruise, panniers, heated grips and a centrestand for the price. A good solo tourer maybe?

but the pre-load you can very easy change with a manual weehl......?........just again its not a track + hyper cornering bike...only for fine touring so is preoload most more as enough .....

and in case you would have later realy a special wish ,,,you can change to a ohlins suspension or some like this....

or
you want basically pay 2000 more for a fully adjustable landing gear you have it but you need it seldom or never extra ?

I really want to like it, but I find that I cannot get excited about this bike. I enjoyed reading this article: [url=https://newatlas.com/motorcycles/2022-honda-nt1100-sports-tourer-africa-twin/]Honda turns the Africa Twin into a motorcycling version of corn flakes.

just an unexcited, inconspicuous, very practical, reasonable device .... as it was and is the CBF....wehre is the problem ?

It's a Honda... I'm as excited at the prospect of this bike as I am for a Civic or an Accord. It's a semi-attractive device to comfortably and reliably do its job. It won't complain, it won't ask for much, and it will blend into the landscape. If I owned this bike, I'd commute with it like I'd commute with an Accord. it would get me where I need to be, but won't stir my soul. That wouldn't bother me.

Sort of like I'd compare a BMW to... a BMW. Or an Alfa to a Ducati. Or a Jaguar to a Triumph.

Or, to paraphrase Abe Lincoln: "You can satisfy some of the people all the time and all the people some of the time, but you can't satisfy all of the people all of the time."
It is a good platform to start from and gives them room to "improve" over many years.

I find it odd enough to be intriguing, it's a big touring scooter with 17" wheels and without a step-through. It's NC750Xs big brother. Get a pair of great touring tires and I'm sure it will go like stink. I've never found the Africa Twin to lack power, even the 1000cc one. The beauty of a parallel twin is that it has power all throughout the rev-range. I'm sure the torque curve on this thing is as flat as it can be, and it's probably smooth and quiet. Chunky X-ADV type front fairing creates a presence on the road, and I'm sure excellent protection from the elements.
I have no complaints on this bike, no it's not the sporty tourer we expected, but I think it's still a solid reliable inconspicuous motorcycle that will take you everywhere and last for a very long time.

Speaking of honda cars... Acura will be releasing the new Integra next year with a manual transmission yay

RE: NT1100 Speculation Over - Gone in 60 - 10-22-2021

Wow, that's exciting. A full, mechanical manual is something of an exotic these days. Hopefully the Integra will signal a return to manuals for those who want them. I was thinking I'd have to preserve my Fiesta ST forever. The new generation Civic is the first to not offer a manual in the U.S. Maybe when the Si or R are released, they might.
