Its all subjective. What is a smell, what isn't. Who cuts what profile riding at what speed. The high pipes contribute. I've read pretty much every 919 post that has ever been made on Motorush, WT, the Nest, etc. since 2002.

I got a guy with a truck load of VP110 if anyone wants to try it...

So $20/gallon at how many gallons in his truck? I hope he has insurance, though I bet if anything, only the catalytic converter would be stolen off his truck.

ROFLROFL

VP brings a box van to our events with several drums. Gotta be worth a lot. And I imagine he has one heck of a certification on his CDL to haul that stuff.

Can't remember a catalytic converter being stolen at one of our events. A complete trailer with a race car in it once, maybe a tent or two, but not a converter.

Which has me thinking... We run little Ruckus scooters as pit bikes. Wonder if the 110 would make them more fun or not. Never tried it.

If this seems illogical, you may recall guys riding at highway speeds in T-shirts that were blowing up their backs and around their shoulders.

I hear that! Never like those under seat pipes, especially if the pipe has been modded, then it was too close to the ears for comfort.

I bought a new 919 in 2003--coming off a CB650 Nighthawk (biggest single motorcycle regret is selling that Nighthawk). The 919 was the first bike I had that had even a little forward lean to it, which took some getting used to. The front wheel liked coming off the ground, must have been my frequent right wrist cramps and intermittent clutching abilities. Very quick bike. Personally, I didn't find it very comfortable to ride for much more than 45-60 minutes around town. Overall, enjoyed the Nighthawk more and traded the 919 in after about 18 months for a 2004 Honda ST1300, so totally different direction. Enjoy riding my '17 CB1100EX a lot more than the 919, but that's also related to a calendar showing 20 years having passed.

Fun bike if you're looking for torque but not full sport bike ergonomics.

Nice images, TXBikerGuy. The '83 Honda CB650 was an awesome bike. I also regret selling it.
