Way back in 2013 when the CB was finally offered in the US, some riders reported a bit of vibration at 4000 rpm in 5th gear/70 mph. I observed the same thing.
Some folks, including myself, changed sprockets to reduce rpm. I went up one tooth in the front and down one in the rear. Now 4000 rpm in 5th occurs at 76 mph. I don't notice the vibration as much, perhaps of the increased speed.

Man, the CB has "reintroduced" me to how much the Houston traffic really sucks. Every car out there is texting, or playing with their radio, or looking somewhere else - scary place to be riding - for me anyway.

I agree!!!!!!!!!! I didn't want to post about it, but I got ran off the road by an angry driver a few weeks ago and have since been avoiding riding during the week. I singled a lane change when traffic was REAL slow moving and this woman was livid I got in front of her. She wasn't cut off, I didn't move fast, I stayed at the corner of her Jeep where I knew she could see me and I knew I could fit without issues. She honks twice, chances lanes, tells me I'm stupid, then merges in to me, running me in to the shoulder. It got me seeing red, so I decided to take a break from week-day riding...
You know, in spite of the care you took, you probably frightened her. She was busy staring into space, sending a text, fiddling with the radio or the GPS and had no idea at all you were there until you materialised in front of her.
The great challenge for contemporary road safety authorities is to find a way to make sure drivers (and riders) are attending to the job of driving (or riding) amidst the growing number of available distractions.

Yep, I'm pretty careful when riding. With cell phone cameras so abundant you can never be sure when you might be starring in the next popular You Tube viral video

You may have your road rage in Houston, but I don't think it can top what happened in San Diego last month. A young marine (or maybe sailor) driving a motorcycle (not sure what kind) got into an incident on highway 5N with a woman in a car. He ended up kicking her car, then exiting at the 54E exit quickly. She followed him and ran him down, and killed him. There's a big, black skid mark on the freeway where she must have pushed him about 200 yards. Her defense is that he fell off his bike and she accidently ran him over, but the witnesses at the scene saw her deliberately ram him and never hit the brakes; she was arrested at the scene and has been charged with murder. There's probably something on the internet if you care to Google it.

What part of town are you in? I am on SE side, in Pearland. Fair number of nice back roads down this way. Anywhere close to each other, and we should meet up some weekend.
