Not bad looking but they def should steal some engine design ideas from triumph as someone else mentioned.

Inverted forks, 17inch wheels, and a mono shock would be nice. There are things I want from a retro style bike but I prefer some parts to be modern and functional.

Meh. With the NC1100X coming out I think a GB version would be a step too far. But what do I know.

I'm kinda keen on a DCT for my next street bike.

not sure but the blurry text window next to the bike in the video appears to say "OHC4, 1082 CC".....suggesting a 4 cyl......on the pics of the smaller CC bikes in the video the text appears to read "OHC2"......suggesting a twin cyl......don't care either way, I prefer the air cooled motor in my 14.

Not really. And the reasoning is this: The guy who would buy a NC1100x and the guy who would buy a GB1100 are 2 completely different customers. Honda would be tapping 2 markets with 1 motor.

Judging from the responses in here (I submit we're the intended market) these is a very small market for the GB1000 as shown in the video. If Honda redid the motor casings to reflect some cooling ribs like the Triumph (then being accused of copying Triump - probably a non-starter) then the GB would hold more appeal to this group.

On the other hand, I think a lot of us would take our own advise (I never should have sold that bike!) and simply keep our CB's until we croak. Smile

Then again, when it comes to markets I have been proven wrong so many times Honda should just go ahead and build it. ROFL

If I didn’t have a CB I’d buy one. It looks like a motorcycle to me. Not an insect or street fighter.

It does not hurt to have all three, MiLord Smile

If Honda made the CB1100 four inches higher, I'd might go back to the CB1100.

I think of they just cast some cooling fins on the blocks it would work even if it is water cooled. Something about them makes the engine look more vintage and authentic to me.

I agree, just because it is water cooled does not mean it has to look like it. Honda could have done this with the CB1100 in line four, put fake fins, dual front disc brakes, etc.... and had a bike way better looking that that ugly Rebel 1100 or that transformer looking CB1000R they are selling now. Honda may never get me back if they cannot make a bike look like a real motorcycle. PS...The Z900RS I ride too, I love it. The first NEW bike I have bought in years!
