TQ to yield bolts (stretch bolts) don't have a flat tq rating- they always have a # + additional degree of turn applied.

That sounds like the beginning of skepticism.

But that extra amount of turning could surely have been accurately computed within limits by specifying the torque, no?

At any rate, that's what Honda want us to do, so if this is presented as possible suggestion they are not TTY, also keep in mind the bolts were clearly stretched by two forum members who observed them before and after.

2$ each, why not?
