I must be wierd also since I enjoy changing my own oil on my bikes and truck. I appreciate all your input. Filters, only OEM, oil - check your manual and climate recommendations. I personally use Motul 10W40 synthetic for Ontario and my type of riding. RE: Love the oil changes on these bikes - GoldOxide_imp - 02-11-2019 (+1) on PB's feedback. BTW: Not weird. Many here at the Forum change their own fluids too. Honda GN4 10W40 and Motul 10W40 5100 (semi-synthetic) is what I have been using without issue. RE: Love the oil changes on these bikes - LongRanger_imp - 02-11-2019 Okay, here we go. Use what you like. Me? I have no reason to stray from the manufacturer's recommendation (GN-4 and an OE filter). It works fine and I never have to second-guess myself. RE: Love the oil changes on these bikes - the Ferret - 02-11-2019 I'm with LR RE: Love the oil changes on these bikes - GoldOxide_imp - 02-11-2019 (+1) on the Honda OEM filter. Never used anything else. RE: Love the oil changes on these bikes - Rossi_imp - 02-11-2019 (02-11-2019, 05:38 AM)LongRanger_imp Wrote: Okay, here we go. LR, That’s will be the way I will most likely go also but am interested if any one has ever ran Amsoil in their CB? I have a 2014 HD Ultra with 35,000 miles with Amsoil and no problems. RE: Love the oil changes on these bikes - peterbaron - 02-11-2019 Check this: http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=11760 RE: Love the oil changes on these bikes - Cormanus - 02-11-2019 Rossi, if it meets the standard set by Honda—in other words is API Service SG or higher (but not showing as being energy conserving), is JSO T 903 'MA' and 10W30 or 10W40, there should be no problem at all. This one, maybe, https://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/motor-oil/motorcycle/10w-30-synthetic-metric-motorcycle-oil/?code=MCTQT-EA RE: Love the oil changes on these bikes - GoldOxide_imp - 02-11-2019 (+1) The only problem with Amsoil might be less stash in your cash. |
