RE: Cold Weather & Tire Pressure - GoldOxide_imp - 11-20-2019 I'd say the battery performance appears quite good. I suspect cold riding might drop the meter a bar, but maybe recover when back into warmer climate. I especially like the feature that tells you what your tire pressure would be if the air inside the tire was 70 degrees fahrenheit.postoak, can you post a pic of the display using your new FOBO ? ..are you using an iPhone ? .. chuckk .. As I gained knowledge and experience with all things motorcycle ( and later car mechanics ), I came to understand what was happening. I found an article that does a good job of explaining the effect of ambient temperature on tire pressure, and have included a link to it.Thanks for post -I did not know wait period after riding was so long - I thought it was at least 1 hour. I would also add to make sure your tire gauge is accurate. Car And Driver magazine did a test on a dozen or so gauges a few years back, pitting the cheap vs expensive. It was shocking how inaccurate many gauges are. A few of the cheapest gauges were the best in test. I then tested all of my gauges against each other and tossed in trash all that we’re off by 2 PDS or more— a few expensive ones. I would never trust an unknown gauge to test my tires. |
