Thankfully, Cormanus is being gentle.

George050994, how are we doing regarding your leak?

I just can't believe my luck Undecided

I did clean all the allen side of the engine and the oil leaking is still there it's small but still going like "sweating".
I took my bike for a ride enough to get the engine hot and now it's getting WORSE as I find out a new oil leak coming from the left side of the valve cover gasket.

Now this is really getting on my nerves, how is this even possible!

My bike is only 22,500 miles and it's behaving like an old fart. Really disappointed at this point, not sure if this has to do with the traffic temperature I ride sometimes or if it's only bad luck

George: I had many Honda and Yamaha inline-4s back in the 80's / 90's and I recall all of them putting out a wee bit of oil sweat around the head gaskets, and maybe in a case a tiny amount at the cylinder seal. Not enough to be concerned, but it collected grime and was somewhat annoying, but functionally benign. They seemed to be worse during the warm summer riding season.

Today, well into the 21st century - yes, I might feel even more perturbed. I learned to accept it back in the 20th century, but not sure if I could today. I would probably endure it until the next maintenance cycle requiring lifting the cover.
