Nap? I have no idea. We were riding 10 hours a day (6 am to 4 pm) and just collapsed in the hotel at night.
as far as riding gear and bike her ya go..HJC modular helmet, Tourmaster jackets (took solid and mesh, and wore each a lot..usually switching to mesh mid day), safety vest, took 4 different gloves heavy to vented but mostly wore my deerskin gloves, Fieldsheer riding pants, Alpinestar waterproof touring boots. Wore mostly C9 shirts and shorts under jacket and pants, Dr Schols cushioned socks, (took 3 sets of clothing that could be washed in sink and dried hanging over night). In white dry bag on back seat is sweatshirt, sweat pants, turtleneck shirt, light weight balaclava, heavy gloves and my electric jacket liner which I didn't need...good thing since I left the heat troller at home lol). In bag on top of trunk is a set of Frogg Toggs rain gear ( worn 4 times, but only needed twice). I used a Tom Tom GPS. We used a Senna intercom system that belonged to my buddy. Carried a few tools, tire repair kit and cleaning supplies for face shield and windshield, but not much, and a complete set of state maps which I barely used, but the Colorado map came in handy once. I used my Tourmaster Elite tank bag.
I used the cold gear once I think.
I also took a polo shirt, blue jeans, and gym shoes for wearing once we were off the bike. And I packed my swim suit but only used it once at one of the pools in the motels. Should have used it more but I was just too tired at night.
My pack job was just about perfect this trip. Used about everything, and didn't wish for anything.

Sounds like a fine trip. Wish you had stopped by to say hi when you were breezing through the Bay Area but my feelings are not hurt. Looking forward to your stories and pictures, Ferret.
