This bike has been unsold on eBay for at least 2 months. What does that tell you ?

I've seen it relisted and relisted several times on ebay. The first I noticed it was way back late July. The auctions seem to end between $5,000-$6,000 but it does not make the reserve price. If they keep going at this rate, as time goes by the auction ending price will get lower and lower.

They are selling for 6000 as a low price so I would offer them that and say take it or leave it. It depends on how much they took it in trade for. Ask them what their cost on it is and allow for some reasonable profit. Unfortunately that usually means 1000 over private seller price.

This bike has been discussed back in September. It was owned by a forum member, Ack, who traded it in on a BMW RNineT. He stated in a posting from back then, that book value was $5500 and he talked them up to $6000

Hmm. There's a spotless '13 cb 1100 with a couple of thousand miles at BMW Escondido. Strange, the guy trades his Honda on a beemer and I'm chomping at the bit to sell my '11 r 1200rt and either get a '15 cb or a '14.

Do a complete sweep of Craigslist nationwide and get the price range from high to low and set your price

Unless you can buy it at a substantial discount you might want to look for a cleaner example.

Hi- is this a known problem with these bikes? I live in New York and am very close to pulling the trigger on a CB1100 and would be keeping it outside- I don't have a garage. But I would hate for weather to have a bad effect on it. Just curious thanks..

PS currently riding a 1986 CB450

I would offer 6000, because it wouldn't hurt to just make an offer. Good luck with buying the bike, make sure that you check it out good!

Bmw dealers can be wierd with used non bmw bikes... I'm near bobs bmw...

Fwiw, I'm going down to GA (from MD) to pick up speedgeezers ( formerly gixxermans) cb1100. I got it for 6 even..... So decent ones can be had... There was one that went for 5500 in va about two weeks ago... The owner was a friend of a friend.. It had been 6500, and dropped it a grand to move it... I didn't get there in time Sad
