Funnily enough that's what my Greek Mother-in-Law (PBUH) would say to her daughters. Must be a grain of truth in it somewhere.

All right, I give up: PBUH?

Peace be upon Her.

When I was younger ALL the good things did happen after midnight , how things have changed !

My dad said the same thing about nothing good happens after midnight....I tend to agree with that, I'm lucky to alive for some of the stupid stuff I've done...flying down the road at night on my CB350 topped out at 95mph and missing an opossum by inches....I figure I would have been just a greasy smear on the highway ;-)

He also said you can do anything sober you can do drunk and do a lot better job of if you are sober ;-)

Maybe we should start a thread for bits of wisdom or rules to live and ride by

I've had tons of fun after midnight...

Last night a solo rider hit a curb was ejects and knocked down a light pole!!! Died later at the hospital.

I'm being extra cautious lately. This is unusual to have this many accidents in 3 days.

My Fiance and Family are all super worried about me riding now. I assure them I am safe but this is getting annoying we all understand the dangers of riding and do out best to be safe.

A very senior EMT spent a couple of days at the Chapman School training us on CPR, first aid, etc. He'd been working "death" for decades. His take: when its your day, its your day, and when its not, it's not. He's seen guys walk away from situations that absolutely should have been fatal, and others die against all logic. IMO, short of suicidal activities (like throwing ball bearings at cagers) you should do what you like and not worry about what happens to other people. If God wants you dead, it's not going to matter if you're on a bike or in a cage.

Amen. I always stop for a moment, on the way out, to ask His protection. Then, I use all my skills to pay attention, and try to be safe, but ultimately it is in His hands!

No, your safety is in your hands.
