Ha Ha! Definitely not something she'd ever have to worry about. But, sometimes the thought of playing hookey and going for a ride overcomes responsibility. When I've admitted doing so, her answer has always been "Good for you, you deserve it!"

But, when I forget to tell her, and a lunch comes up on our credit card bill from an area not directly between home and work comes up, she asks, to make sure it's legitimate. "Did you eat at a sandwich shop in San Pedro on a Thursday?"

I've mentioned it before, but my wife and I both have Find My Phone Apps on our phones. I insisted we have that so she could track me on my daily rides and not worry so much when I'm a little late because I was out exploring a new road/loop. Also if I run off the road it gives her a place to start searching for my body lol

Well... there is that, I guess.

Well, I've always assumed that BusyBee is cash only. And in any case, I only pay cash if I eat there. If that came up on the credit card receipt, I can only imagine the ration I'd get from Mrs. G about the health implications of eating a sandwich the size of a football, doused in mayo.

Or, she'd be way jealous that I didn't bring one back for her.

So yeah, I pay cash there, then take my sandwich over to Angel's Gate Park, sit on the bluff, watch ships and birds go by, and contemplate life in general.

Many times this is a hard one to think through.

Maybe the intent was thoughtful, but the wrong garnishes (" ... you know Gone which toppings I like ... and eww - Onions!"), or wrong bread, or where's my drink, or " ... why didn't you do this last week when I really needed it ... ", or maybe just not hungry.

Best to ride together to the joint and share as the sun sets.

I would love for us to have enough time together to do that. We enjoy sharing a Busy Bee sandwich (half of a football is healthier) and sitting on the bluff.
Just haven't been able to swing it for quite some time.

Yeah, I get it. This is what we have made of life. Undecided

Welp, hop on the CB (or the INT650) and point it at a horizon in the meantime. Smile
