I used to have a Quota, the adventure bike from Moto Guzzi. Sold it after I bought the Griso (got an offer, otherwise I'd still have it).

Do any of you own adventure bikes? Being a big fan of the Kawasaki Versys I miss it except for having to deal with feet placement when stopping, something that I just don't think twice about on the CB1100.

I have a V-strom 650 and the ergos are very roomy. Like the Versys, footpegs are in the way when stopped. For someone tall, that is more of an annoyance. For someone with shorter legs, it affects how easy the reach is to the ground.

Had a 2007 model briefly. Probably shouldn't have let it go.

I'm 6'3" with a 33" inseam. I found the riding a little cramped, and have fitted lower pegs to improve legroom.

6', 33" inseam. I was pretty cramped on the bike. Bought the Tiro (vintage CB style) seat, and it was the perfect cure. Taller AND way more comfortable than the stock seat. Win-win. Wink

Thank you all for the abundant replies. From what I gathered, my inseam may not result in any issue for me. Best try it before I go off and change anything as suggested by several posters.

Funny thing about comfort, it's very personal. The reason that I'm concerned is that I read that the VFR 800 was a spot-on comfortable sport tourer, and I was sold on that ... until I bought it and lived with it. A two-hour ride was a torture on my bony butt (I am 145 lbs soaking wet on a 6 foot frame). In fact, the sport riding stance didn't bother me, but the seat did. So much so I sold the bike the first chance I got. Goes to show you can't fully trust everything on the internet. Although I think you folks on this forum are a trustworthy bunch Thumbs Up

At any rate, I am a bit curious about that K&H seat. Will visit Taka-san site now ....

Thanks

P.S. I need to first get the bike, don't I?

Seats are funny and with so many custom seat makers out there I'd recommend going that route (or after market) before taking a hit on resale.

Hi guys. I am sorry for my English. One question appeared.

In this topic many riders are quite tall. What about small riders? What is the lowest limit of the height to feel comfortable on cb1100. I am only 5'6" and i am thinking would it be enought height to feel good on it or not....
Thank in advance.

Leg1, I am 5'6" wear 28" inseam jeans, not an issue for me. Both feet reach the ground, not flat footed but solid balls of both feet down.
