RE: Model Terminology (Confused) - Cormanus - 04-22-2015 Google isn't the only entity confused by it all, Ferret. [url=http://Bikesales.com.au]Bike Sales is an Australian on-line bike trading site. It offers two Honda CB1100s—the CB1100F (the 2010 & 2011 models) and the CB1100F 1062cc (the 1983 model). There's one of the 1983 bikes for sale in Victoria with a mere 18,000 miles on the clock. Edit: while it's still for sale, there's pictures of it [url=http://www.bikesales.com.au/dealer/OAG-AD-803348/1983-Honda-CB1100F-(1062cc)?cr=0&psq=(((Make%3D%5BHonda%5D)%26(Model%3D%5BCB1100F%20(1062cc)%5D))%26(((((SiloType%3D%5BBrand%20new%20bikes%20available%5D)%7C(SiloType%3D%5BBrand%20new%20bikes%20in%20stock%5D))%7C(SiloType%3D%5BDealer%20used%20bikes%5D))%7C(SiloType%3D%5BDemo%20%26%20near%20new%20bikes%5D))%7C(SiloType%3D%5BPrivate%20used%20bikes%5D)))%26(Service%3D%5BBikesales%5D)&pso=0&pss=Premium]here. RE: Model Terminology (Confused) - Henrik_imp - 04-22-2015 The logic above seems to make sense. Except that I have received a document from Honda explaining the series over here which says the following: CB1100A (this is the standard) ED - Sold in Europe and Singapore E - Sold in UK EK - Sold in South Africa CB1100SA (EX model) ED - Sold in Europe and Singapore E - Sold in UK RE: Model Terminology (Confused) - Cormanus - 04-22-2015 I just burst into tears.
RE: Model Terminology (Confused) - flynrider - 04-23-2015 I say we just refer to all of them as SC65 and leave it at that

My knowledge, such as it is, is limited to VINs. Then I did a little Google hunting and came across [url=http://www.bike-parts-honda.com/]this site. Put simply, I discovered a list of CB1100 variants and countries and the designation used to describe them. I think this list goes pretty close: Flyn You got in while I was typing. You're right. There's also CB1100SA, which is the DLX. My hunch is that the US dealers and parts suppliers aren't worrying about the year designation as they deal with that in other ways. Ufffff!; very usefully my friend!! I have SA
