I'm still kicking myself for not buying a tire mounting machine 20 years ago. It would have paid for itself several times over.
Last summer I hit a bad pothole on my F800GT and severely damaged the front rim. The tire lost pressure immediately but remained at about 15 psi. I rode the bike home, 70 miles on the freeway, keeping it below 50 mph. I survived but the tire didn't.

My tires came in yesterday I will get them put on Sat.It's a little late to ask ,but does anyone have PR 3's on a 2014 standard if so does the rear one fit ok.The rear size 160/60zr18

Yes lots of people have them on 2010-2013's. No issues with clearance.

Some folks have shaved down a bit of the inside foot of their center stand in an abundance of caution about the clearance. I did not do this have not had a problem in 12,000 miles (mine is a 2013, but I think the clearances are the same.)

Had the new PR3 tires put on yesterday & then took it for about a 40 mile ride. Hit some good turns & the bike felt really good. These tires make the bike feel more substantial, especially over bumps in the road. You guys were right regarding clearance...no issue at all. Checked pressure today, they were down a bit, maybe just tires settling in. Not sure what pressure they put in at shop so I aired em up - 36 in front/42 in rear - max pressure on both state 42. Should I keep the back at 42? Appreciate all the input that helped me come to decision. Thanks

68 I run mine at 38 front 40 rear. I think the 38 in the front helps keep it from cupping. The 40 in the rear just makes it a little softer going over bumps in road. others run the stock pressures as recommended. I think you will come to really like the tires.

I like to run mine at 34 front, 42 rear. The 120 I'm running up front shows hardly any wear thus far.

I run the max pressure because I'm a bit on the hefty side of life.
