Wonder how the group is doing? Tomorrow morning I ride to Ironton Ohio and pick them up for a tour thru southwest Ohio, with a couple special stops along the way, then bring them back to Cincinnati where I have a Cincinnati local delicacy dinner/ dessert planned for them at the house before heading to their hotel.
They might see some rain today. ROlled thru here headed west about an hour ago.
Supposed to be 44 in the morning. Brrrr lol

rain messed with our ride today. not heavy, but enough to make the turns a bit more slick than I would like. however, if there was going to be a rain day on this trip, today was the perfect day for it -- pretty simple ride most of the way with two stops that got us indoors. We rode from Marlinton to Charleston, WVA with stops at New River Gorge and at Hawk's Head State Park.
Fog is forecast for the AM which will likely delay our meet up with The Ferret tomorrow by 1/2 hour or so. Also, another cold (45F) start to the day. Looking forward to The Ferret's tour.

Heading north to home today. We had a wonderful time in southern Ohio yesterday. The riding was great, but getting to know The Ferret and his beautiful family was easily the highlight of the day. I'll have photos and reports soon, but here's my favorite picture from the entire week.

Ahh you picture sniper. Didn't know you were taking that.
That's my grandson Riley. just turned 4. Special kid. Had open heart surgery at 31 days due to heart defect. To make up for bad heart God gave him a super brain. The kid is so smart it's spooky. The guys down at the MC shop thinks he's 11 trapped in a 4 year olds body.
Just for fun at dinner, I said Riley, what kind of motorcycle do you have?
Riley: I have a Yamaha. It's a dirt bike.

Riley : Mark Marquez

So that is The Ferret himself, is it? A very handsome looking fellow, I must say, and with a handsome young grandson as well. I know those Southern Ohio roads are excellent. Would have enjoyed riding them with you all.

Looked like some great places to ride to MTC. Glad you were able to do a long trek like this before the season ends. Only 8 months til' the AR trip now. Got a GoPro that will be essential for it.
