My red CB1100dx is a garage king with 65k miles… retired from cross country rides but still in my regular ride cycle ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk That's where my 2014 DLX is standing right now with 71K. Goes in on the 15th for another new set of tires check brakes, change fluids. Going to take care of it and ride it on occasion, to the rally etc, but the main daily miles are going on the NC RE: Leno's CB1100 - Crazyirv_imp - 07-19-2023 The CB being the last mass produced inline 4 that is now discontinued makes it collectable. RE: Leno's CB1100 - bvictory_imp - 07-21-2023 Leno is a motorcycle and big Honda Fan He also has a the full dress CBX that he bought new back in 1980. I think it was his first big motorcycle purchase. (07-19-2023, 09:06 PM)Crazyirv_imp Wrote: The CB being the last mass produced inline 4 that is now discontinued makes it collectable. You forgot that it’s air cooled as well. I plan in keeping mine until I die and hopefully my son will take care of it or it will go to a good home. I haven’t taught my son how to ride yet because my wife forbade me. He is 22 now and back from college to get a job in accounting/ finance before he moves out. After he moves out, I will secretly teach him on a smaller bike before he takes a safety class. I will probably take it with him. I haven’t dine a big trip yet but I am planning a ride to visit a friend in Texas next March/April. RE: Leno's CB1100 - Charlie Bravo_imp - 07-24-2023 My '13 CB1100, red, with red side covers, and non-OEM handlebars, clutch and brake reservoir assy's, has 19k miles on it. Don't ride it a whole lot, too darn hot/cold in TX. I didn't commute on it, or any bike, for the most part. I ride for fun, not transportation, but I am looking at a Yamaha V-Star to get Mrs. Bravo on the back of. Geez the whole point of making that post was to state that it's the last mass produced AIRCOOLED I4 engine and I can't believe I left that word out. Oops! Let's see how many more times I'm corrected..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: Leno's CB1100 - Gone in 60 - 02-01-2024 I don't think Leno needs the money. I saw him recently at a show in a Duesenberg, and commented about how nice it looked. He replied that it "was the beater, and that the nice ones were back at the shop." He's very approachable when he comes to car shows if you don't fawn over him and just treat him like a regular car guy. This thread reminds me that if I see him again, I'll ask him about the CB1100 and get his thoughts on it. |
