I agree ! I was drawn to the more classic lines of the DLX.
RE: Reasons to like CB1100 STD model vs. DLX - the Ferret - 11-03-2016 That DLX looks great in white. RE: Reasons to like CB1100 STD model vs. DLX - Papa Weeley_imp - 11-03-2016 I prefer the looks (and weight!) of my '13 over the DLX, personally - except for the silver wheels - I really like the silver wheels!
RE: Reasons to like CB1100 STD model vs. DLX - Powerdogg55 - 11-03-2016 I think the standard is an awesome looking bike however, being an old fart I Was drawn to the DLX. Just a "dime" more to fly first class. RE: Reasons to like CB1100 STD model vs. DLX - Carguy1959_imp - 11-03-2016 (11-02-2016, 10:44 PM)kvdv_imp Wrote: I think about this from time to time. RE: Reasons to like CB1100 STD model vs. DLX - nhawk7504_imp - 11-04-2016 THE one reason I don't like the Triumph Bonneville is those dual exhausts which get in the way of the chain. So the DLX made me think of this. I don't have a garage so working on the bike is more of an issue anyway. I use a pitbull stand on the rear of the bike as well which is easy on some bikes and harder on others. The DLX certainly looks classier. But I like the new RS a lot. Had a 97 VFR. The Sport thing always grabbed me. The DLX is kind of the Honda Accord of bikes. It's not the middle aged Harley guy. Not the GSXR guy. Not the Adventure tourer guy. This is a nice shot: [url=http://www.cycleworld.com/sites/cycleworld.com/files/styles/large_1x_/public/images/2016/10/cb1100rs_1.jpg?itok=I5jWhGGC&fc=50,50]http://www.cycleworld.com/sites/cyclewor...C&fc=50,50 RE: Reasons to like CB1100 STD model vs. DLX - the Ferret - 11-04-2016 (11-03-2016, 10:46 AM)Carguy1959_imp Wrote:I think they made a Black DLX, not sold in the US.(11-02-2016, 10:44 PM)kvdv_imp Wrote: I think about this from time to time. They made a black EX..same bike only with wire wheels [url=http://smg.photobucket.com/user/theferret111/media/swisscbblackblack_zpsc45c3de3.jpg.html]
RE: Reasons to like CB1100 STD model vs. DLX - Rebel73_imp - 11-04-2016 This is a big plus in the DLX column IMO... ABS reduces the chance of being in a fatal motorcycle crash by 31%. http://www.iihs.org/frontend/iihs/documents/masterfiledocs.ashx?id=2042 Reasons to like CB1100 STD model vs. DLX - curlyjoe - 11-04-2016 My '13 has abs and linked brakes (C-ABS). ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
