I received the proper connector and terminals, but they are a lot smaller than the Honda factory crimp tool could accommodate (their smallest size is 1.25 mm), so the improper crimping prevented the terminals from going far enough into the connector block.  So the meter assembly didn't work properly, possibly because there was improper contact.  Or something else is at fault.

So I ordered another connector block that had pre-installed connectors with wires attached, and will try that as a last resort.  These new multi-pin connectors would mean I need to get a new crimp tool, and the tiny terminals, and not inclined to do that quite yet.

I too have used those type, with this project.I doubled up thr thickness of copper wire, into the pin end,(having already slid some shrink sleeve onto the wire) used fine pliers to bend the tabs over the pvc sleeved end, then bent the tabs down onto the doubled wire. Once happy "crimped" on. Slid the shrink sleeve down, just before the tab, that locks the pin into the connector and heated to shrink and help keep locked on. It worked for me, having no crimp tool specifically for these tiny pins

If you post three good photos of the pin from the front & back & side, showing its shape and the locking tab, I might be able to search and find what you need, which means the pin & the alrready crimped wire as a set.
We have many used harnesses, but unforunatly, not the whole connector you need.

I had already ordered this connector with pigtails, $25 on eBay.  I could have ordered the proper crimper for $19 on Amazon, but then would have to find more terminals, and there is a good chance I wouldn't get the right ones.  So I went with what I can't go wrong on.

Received the connector, spliced it in, but meters do not sweep, and digital panel is blank.  So it will be sold for parts, and hopefully Deano can put the two meters together and end up with a working meter panel.  Good luck, Dean.

Were you working with OEM instruments, pekingduck?

Yes, an OEM set.

The most updated P/N 37100MGCDC2.
As to my Honda informer, there is no used part available here in Canada.
One European Honda dealer has this particular part for almost U$3000, so U$1200 is a very good price for e new part.

After installing the missing connector, both with new terminals and by soldering in pigtails, it showed the same fault, not powering up the meters or the center display, I was not going to invest more time in it, and shipped the entire assembly Deano in the UK.  He has more capability and patience than I, and hopefully will find a simple fault.
Best of luck to Deano! Let us know your results.
