Grip tape??

I think I remembered the name wrong....it's called gaffer tape. It's pressure sensitive tape similar to duck tape but removes easily like painters without leaving a sticky residue.

The one inch fits better into my tailbag or tank bag, but usually takes 2 strips.

Here's the 2 inch:

I can't find the video where this was recommended, but here's how it works and looks using vinyl...but with the tape, you can just add it during prolonged rides into the sun then remove it for the other 90% of riding time. Sometimes I need to put a short piece on the sides to protect during turns.

I know there are expensive helmets that have interior drop down visors, but I was trying to find a way to keep my $150 HJC modular that fits me well.

Great info, offroad. Is this stuff sticky enough to hold a route card on my gas tank?

Another tip i learned long ago is to wipe the visor only vertically and at least breathe on it just before wiping.

To prove this; hold a piece of plastic up against the sunlight and look at the difference when it is rotated from horizontal to vertical and scratched in one direction, the effect is like polarized glasses.

Pretty sure it will work first that...that's a good ideal!

I've used it about 4 times now....sticks really well....but I can reach up and pull it off with one hand kind of like a tear off shields used in motocross.

I carry a spare key, tucked away inside my wallet.

"I can reach down and reassure myself it safely stowed away."

I'm glad I'm not the only joker that does that.

very smart to keep a 2nd key , have a 2nd key hidden on all vehicles and it has saved me a few times in my life , once while out in the boondocks hunting Thumbs Up

A common problem is not being able to get the smile off my face when riding the CB1100.....
