RE: Love the CB1100 - LongRanger_imp - 05-28-2018 My '14 DLX has been a wonderful, nearly maintenance-free motorcycle. Highly recommended. The only thing I'd caution you against is tire selection. The bike has relatively narrow rims and if you want to stay with OE tire fitment, tire selection is very limited. I use the OE Bridgestone BT54 radials. They're decent tires given the performance of the bike, but the fronts wear within 4000 miles and the rears will go about 6000 miles before requiring replacement. Many folks here are using the Michelin Pilot Road 3 with excellent results, but the rear is not available in an OE 140/70-18 and they are becoming increasingly difficult to find. We all have our preferences. I stand by my disappointment with the NC750X. I'm pleased that you enjoy your NM4. |
