I do not think that Miller lost the champion ship in this race but in the middle of the season he had some issues with the bike or his own commitment after the great start to the season (Scott Redding last year !)
I like Jack but I think that going to Moto 2 for a year would have been a better move on his part.

You're right. Miller's move to MotoGP will be interesting. And he did have a problem with his bike all season. It wasn't fast enough. Look back through the season. Same story all the way. Good overall lap times and pole positions. However was consistently drafted and then overtaken in the straights by the Estrella Galicia Hondas and then had all the work to do in the corners. That's what made it such a great spectacle. Also Rins and AM, when required, worked well as a team, whereas Hanika just wasn't there when the cavalry was needed. Jack did get a little help at times from Kent but, overall, the Spanish Mafia were all over him. Commitment? Maybe. I had my doubts about Jack after he was pushed off the track at Catalunya in the incident that is the elephant in the Moto3 room. But at PI and thereafter I beleive he has showed that he has what it takes. He did not allow himself to be pushed around, he showed that he has the "mongrel" in him, as most champions do. In fact, at Sepang, he did, on at least three occasions, shoulder AM off his line when the Spaniards were trying to put him to the sword. He wouldn't have any of it. He looked to me to be the best rider in Moto3, bar none. However, I don't think Jack did himself any credit with his post race antics. Perhaps he should have warmly, and sportingly, congratulated the winner and put on a happy face. After all, revenge is a dish best served cold!
Marc Marquez shows all the signs of being the G.O.A.T. He has the best percentage wins, podiums, fastest laps, poles and points per season of any rider. Ever. Doohan runs second. However, as the Statiticians amongst us know, time has a habit of evening out the score and at just 21 MM has a long way to go.
I see Wayne Rainey has been enlisted to assist the revitalisation of road racing in the States (Cycle World, Dec, P70). It has been a wonder to me that the flow of great American riders to road racing has reduced to less than a trickle and this article sheds some light. I wish Motoamerica the best of luck. We need more of the same ilk as Schwantz, Rainey, Roberts, Spencer, Lawson and others back into the game.

Apparently Jack Miller was all smiles after his first MotoGP test ride yesterday at Valencia. He was mobbed by reporters and gave this interview:
"It was a really good day and we got a lot of testing done – I did a lot of laps! I enjoyed it so much though, and I think it might be one of the greatest days of my riding career. I have never had so much fun on a bike; the power was incredible, the brakes were great and it’s amazing how much grip you get from the tyres. It just means that I’m looking forward even more to the upcoming days of testing with the CWM LCR Honda Team. Although I’ve enjoyed today, we’ll be working really hard and staying focused on learning this new machine step by step.”
Quite a step up from Moto3.
