RE: CB in crate - the Ferret - 08-24-2014 Want a real shocker measure your tire pressures after picking up your bike at delivery or after getting it serviced. Seriously. RE: CB in crate - ClassicVW_imp - 08-24-2014 Way back when I was first on the 'net, I had been restoring a few bugs, just as a hobby, so I chose this name. A '65 convertible, '68 and a '74 Super. I would also make a note of your odometer mileage when you drop it off at the dealer. One time my bro in law took delivery of a new Caddy and brought it back for a minor problem. It was a weekend, and when he got it back on Tuesday it had 450 miles put on it and cigarette burns on the back seat. RE: CB in crate - The Spaceman_imp - 08-24-2014 Here's a few shots of my CB in the crate. It's interesting; I was browsing the high-res versions of the photos from that day, and the CB has aged very little over the past year and a half and 10,000 miles. The paint, engine finish, chrome, they all still look almost showroom new. Even the notorious headers don't look all that bad. It was clear from the beginning Honda put some extra effort in finishing this bike, and it's really paid off. Maybe I'll post some before/after photos in the form of a 10k mile review just to show what I mean. Seriously. Funny you mention tire pressure... they were over inflated Spaceman, thanks for posting the photos. Looks like the 2013's came without the handlebars/controls/mirrors installed. My 2014 Std just needed the mirrors installed, clean up and fluids checked. RE: CB in crate - jasperc_imp - 08-29-2014 Nice bike, so fresh! |
