RE: CB1100 EX from Belgium - the Belgian build - Lord Popgun - 12-12-2015 Congrats Riko. A LOT of us spent a lot of time in the garage just looking at it. Still do...
RE: CB1100 EX from Belgium - the Belgian build - Riko_imp - 12-12-2015 Thx ![]() And aint that a fact. When I returned I ""cleaned"" her up and removed a little stone stuck between the right header and heatshield. I did give the bike a spanking and thus the fuel consumption was very high. 8.2L/100km. That like 34mpg... Oeps. Coming from a big scooter such as a Burgman 650, I did have to adjust at the whole clutch thing, but as I rode, I felt getting more and more familiar with it. The way to handle all the weight is about the same since that scooter weighs about 19 MORE than the CB. So weight wise, no unpleasant surprises at all. But again the clutch made it a different experience all together. Nothing beats a scooter in super crowed stop and go city traffic of course. Unless its an automatic like with the FJR or the DCT Honda boxes. But I will get better with the clutch and I will master it more effciently. Luckily for my primary area of driving (much city), that clutch is easy to handle and light. I have no experience with clutches exept for the big Cruiser and the clutch is day and night difference in easiness. From driving school I learned on an old CB500, but have no real recollection. Looking forward to my next ride wich is in...a few minutes.
RE: CB1100 EX from Belgium - the Belgian build - avsbezzy_imp - 12-13-2015 Good for you Riko. Great bike. After 20 months of ownership, I am still going to the garage to look at "my geisha" every time I can. These bikes grow on you big time... Congrats on your cb. RE: CB1100 EX from Belgium - the Belgian build - Riko_imp - 12-13-2015 thx man! I also realised on my first ride (and all rides after that no doubt) I let my radio off to actually listen to the exhaust, it was very addictive I admit I am one of those who listens to the radio while riding ![]() But dont't forget I came from a Burgman ....oeps ![]() now I know it can be thirsty, lets test how economical it can be ![]() RE: CB1100 EX from Belgium - the Belgian build - Artisan_imp - 12-13-2015 (12-09-2015, 02:52 AM)Riko_imp Wrote: Hi all! Haha I joined in a similar manner, I saw the reveal video from honda of the CB1100. And instantly became crazy about this bike. I'm still saving up for mine though. ^^" RE: CB1100 EX from Belgium - the Belgian build - Riko_imp - 12-13-2015 so by calculation you should be able to own one in September 2017 ![]() where are you from RE: CB1100 EX from Belgium - the Belgian build - Riko_imp - 12-18-2015 Came in yesterday from Japan Webike (well, from customs to be correct) Kijima fork gaiters, part n° HD-03216 It took 3 days to reach Belgium But 7 days to clear customs (after sending a mail to speed up clearance) This should be the result: Upcoming parts from Samurider, some OEM parts, Engine guards: http://www.samurider.com/?p=18453/#itemImage Rear rack: http://www.samurider.com/?p=18457/#itemImage and the nice black HAKOFUGU mirrors ![]() http://www.samurider.com/?p=14930 I must say, Takashi is a very very fair guy, maybe too fair, if there is such a thing ![]() I asked him to add an invoice with a lower value number so the import tax would be lower as well, a common practice. But he did not want to oblige my request. Normally somewhere this month I'll make a new order at Japan Webike for the ChicDesign Road comet fairing 1 with smoked touring screen. Small update on the fuel economy, last time I was kinda shocked I had this figure Now I reached 6,9L/100 KM, same enviroment but just a little bit more gentle on the throttle and keeping a eye on the revs and gearing

Hi Riko! I love your mod ideas-your bike looks awesome, esp those spoke wheels. keep the pics coming!! also- the Steelmate tp90 - I didnt know this even existed, and its something I've been wondering about-so thank you for posting this as this will be my next mod ![]() and finally- what kind of helmet do you have above? Its a sharp look. All the best, safe riding ! RE: CB1100 EX from Belgium - the Belgian build - Riko_imp - 12-19-2015 thx man! I have to be honest, the bike looks so good stock I will leave it alone, for now. ![]() The rear fender idea I had being the biggest adjustment, I'll let that idea for what it is. Maybe in the future. Blackening the front fender, forks and grabrails are on the agenda still. ![]() About the TPMS, theres an even easier way I found out, without a monitor to connect to the electric system of the bike, but that works with bluetooth and your smartphone: https://my-fobo.com/Product/FOBOBike ![]() More essential is keeping the rims but making them compatibel for tubeles tires thanks to the Outex kit: http://www2s.biglobe.ne.jp/~outex/tubelesskitenglishlist.htm http://japan.webike.net/products/21848793.html And thanks to the same company, you never need a tire kit with this http://www2s.biglobe.ne.jp/~outex/PUNCTURE%20DEFENSE%20KITS%20English.htm http://japan.webike.net/products/21436067.html Watch this, impressive, most impressive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJn8dSOpOm0 I think its already used on some high end electrical bicycles. ow, my helmet, forgot to mention ![]() ![]() With the B4 com system I got all communication and techno gizmos I could wish for on a bike. Compared to a Schubert modular, this is heavier, but I am happy with it. Did have to replace the chin curtain, and the newer one is of even worse quality at the tabs....typical Italian plastic quality, bad. Ow and did have to cut off a part of the liner on the straps since they also where worn out and started to leave marks on my neck when taking the helmet off... Other than that, very handy spring loaded flip up system thats also homologated as a jet jelmet and even a spring loaded visor. The Revzilla review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXuze4gxje4 They did make a slightly updated N104, the N104 EVO ![]()
