More acceration, higher cruising rpms, less top speed. I think you mean the rear sprocket. The counter sprocket is on the countershaft and is the front or drive sprocket. Going up a tooth will raise the gearing. RE: Cruising RPMs - the Ferret - 04-10-2019 Yea I think I meant down a tooth on the front sprocket lol. Thanks for catching that RE: Cruising RPMs - Skypilot_imp - 04-11-2019 (04-10-2019, 09:46 AM)The ferret_imp Wrote: If you think the gears are too tall, many on the forum who like a more spirited ride go up a tooth on the counter sprocket. I’m an in town rider and on my commute I can’t even go above 50 mph. Top end speed isn’t really my game so maybe the sprocket swap will be a good project at some point. I just got my factory Service manual last night so I’m psyched about that. RE: Cruising RPMs - Skypilot_imp - 04-11-2019 What’s it missing? RE: Cruising RPMs - Cormanus - 04-11-2019 Skypilot, it’s an important issue on this forum joke. See http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2491 RE: Cruising RPMs - Skypilot_imp - 04-11-2019 Very good glad I asked now I can order them in bulk RE: Cruising RPMs - GoldOxide_imp - 04-11-2019 (04-11-2019, 07:05 AM)Skypilot_imp Wrote: Very good glad I asked now I can order them in bulk Words like that are going to land you in Knighthood (by some measuring stick).
RE: Cruising RPMs - Cormanus - 04-11-2019 Or invoke the spirit of Ridem32 who got so excited by RLETs that he cornered the market. Briefly.
