RE: wind screen you recommend for this - the Ferret - 04-07-2014 No, I didn't cut it down. Only used it on the one trip. Not sure it will fit the 14 deluxe...I hope so though. RE: wind screen you recommend for this - dBuster_imp - 04-07-2014 Loan me your 14 and I will let you know... ![]() Sent from my XT1055 using Tapatalk RE: wind screen you recommend for this - the Ferret - 04-07-2014 funny thing is I had a Deflector shield which didn't fit my 2013 so I gave it to my brother and replaced it with the street shield ex. now the street shield ex might not fit but the deflector shield probably would lol RE: wind screen you recommend for this - CB4ME_imp - 04-08-2014 (04-07-2014, 11:39 AM)The ferret_imp Wrote: funny thing is I had a Deflector shield which didn't fit my 2013 so I gave it to my brother and replaced it with the street shield ex. now the street shield ex might not fit but the deflector shield probably would lol Bummer. The list of 2013 to 2014 differences continues to grow. I and many others have NC Deflectors mounted on our CB1100s. NC's website also says they fit. RE: wind screen you recommend for this - the Ferret - 04-08-2014 Sure, the one I had the L shaped arms weren't long enough. With the lower headlight and bigger instruments it wouldn't go. Believe me I tried. It would fit on my side of the instruments but would have had to look thru it to see the speed. It was an older one that used to be on my Nighthawk 750. Talked to my brother about welding arm extensions on it, but we didn't have any 1/4" inch solid rod. In the end I just bought a street shield ex. I bought two Deflectors last year, one for the Nighthawk and one for the CB11, and they sent the same model for both bikes.
RE: wind screen you recommend for this - the Ferret - 04-08-2014 Mine didn't look like that, it wasn't quick detach. It had 2 L arms that popped into sockets in the back of the shield, and 2 u clamps that went around the handlebars. Maybe you can make out the difference in this shot [url=http://smg.photobucket.com/user/theferret111/media/2012_01310025_zpsb85b5a40.jpg.html]
RE: wind screen you recommend for this - flynrider - 04-08-2014 Got it! That's the non-DX model. Due to the different mounting system, they probably have different versions for the CB750 and the CB11. |
