Just joined Thursday ... bought a 2014 with 1000 miles on it via craigslist ... and took her out for a proper rogering today ... including Texas, Oklahoma and ... um ... Paris.

Some great photos today. Thank you alprider, mattvoyle and zbillster.

zbillster, if you're ever in the UK or Australia, do not ever say you've taken your bike out for 'a proper rogering' unless, at the very least, you want to earn some curious looks and maybe even some time in psychiatric care!

Where is that mini Eiffel Tower with the cowboy hat?? That is awesome on so many levels.

My new life's focus is to ride there to see it in person.

Naturally, it is in Paris, Texas: https://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/6995

Cormanus, ‘proper rogering’ must be a Texas thing. I’ve never heard of it anywhere.

ThanksThanks

I can confirm Cormanus's take on "rogering", I spent a fair bit of time with both British and Australian soldiers and I doubt very much that any of them ever Rogers their bikes. Well maybe the British.ROFL

Y'know, I would have made it an overnight moto trip yesterday, but the innkeepers kept giving me some curious looks when I asked for a king size bed on the first floor so me and the CB could spoon all night ... Tongue

Just a lovely phrase I picked up from some British character in a movie ... always loved the sound of it.

I have to go stare longingly at my CB's tailpipe now ... HeartHeartHeart

Yes, Paris, Texas ... also a Wim Wenders movie with that name ... also has a lovely historic town square with interesting antique and collectibles shops ... also has an excellent selection of back roads, some even with curves! ... but BE WARNED! ... the town is also a reliable speed trap, especially on the outer highway loop and near the Eiffel Tower.

Here's yesterday's route ... https://goo.gl/maps/jzkQfkJsPFt

I hit nearby Wolfe City after dark ... will have to go back to check out this awesome-looking pedal car shop ... there were quite a few in the window.

ROFL I wonder if the phonetic alphabet was changed from ‘roger’ to ‘romeo’ because the Poms were taking it as an instruction?

Love the pedal cars.

Resting at a place where I often park my bike during trips around my hometown, while I sit down on a bank, smoke a cigarette, drink tea or coffee and hang out to some thoughts which enter my mind, the eyes looking at the nature that surrounds me. The first object I saw today was a dear watching me out of the distance.
