That's a nice-lookine bike. I know some don't care for a blacked-out engine and wheels, but if you do, that's a wonderful balance with the tank. The tank by itself is gorgeous. I would like to see what the look would would be with a gold band running through the side cover instead of the black, which would match the tank.
They've done a decent job hiding the radiator...nobody does that as nice as Triumph, but this pretty good.

Be prepared for some sticker shock as I just brought home a new Z900RS today after shopping for a few weeks both new and used.
Last new bike I bought was a BMW R9T back in 2018. I bought a leftover 2021 in the most undesirable color imaginable so my deal was an exception vs the rule. The dealer I bought from had the bike discounted a decent amount but they were charging $900 freight and $800 dealer setup fee on the back end….
One DFW Honda dealer had a 1300 mile 2019 model priced decent but their back end charges were $650 for reconditioning and $550 document fees…
From looking at several different dealers it seemed the going rate was around $700 freight and $450 dealer prep, don’t know if dealers are waiving either.

That seems too much to me...I've purchased 2 new bikes in the last year and a half and in both cases the fright and setup were around 800 for both. One of the bikes was already discounted over 30 percent and the other was a bike that has been selling quickly so I didn't negotiate more on the matter.
This might vary by region, but for awhile I know dealerships in my area were trying to add on "dealer markup" which I refused to pay and didn't continue with the sale.

These dealership add-on costs, at least beyond freight, seem so out-of-control, and yes, it is a turn off.
The worst is "documentation" costs. I always sit down and have a frank discussion about the "value-add" these document fees are all about.

It’s a numbers game, my bike was a leftover 2021 so rather than reduce their outrageous freight/prep fees they wound up discounting the MSRP from $11.9 to $8.9 to make my OTD offer. I suspect they take a loss on the bike itself for tax reasons while basically double billing their services. They sat on my OTD offer for over a week before finally caving…

As a truck driver I can tell you a freight charges are real. My company started hitting everyone with fuel surcharges even the multi billion dollar accounts. I see it in the invoices almost daily

No doubt freight has gone up but that was not the only addition, the used 2019 model I looked at had only 1400 miles yet it somehow needed a $650 reconditioning fee in addition to a $550 documents fee…
My dealer was charging $800 for dealer prep yet they could not deliver the bike to me with the correct tire pressures…
I’ve been around some high end hot rod shops and don’t mind paying for quality work but this is absurd

Yea- it's a racket.
When I bought my new Aprilia a couple months ago- signed all the paperwork and got on the bike to ride away...
I hit the starter, gave the throttle a little blip to hear the bike for the first time- and the right mirror spun around...it was completely loose, not even hand tight.
I shut the bike off, got off it...the salesman turned and looked at me. I pointed to the mirror- he made a face, walked into the back and came back out with a wrench.

On Monday, weather permitting, I am riding to my Honda dealer for both tires replacement with Angel GT and while waiting for the service to be completed, I'll chat with the owner or sales about the Hawk1100 and GB750, but I know, they are always lip tight

I would send them an email but if new models are yet a secret, a verbal conversation would be much safer for them than stating it in writing, I guess.
Yes, you have to have a face-to-face conversion with a genuine Honda representative - more senior experienced is preferred to get the best experience.
In general though, Honda Canada just simply bends over to corporate Honda Japan and it doesn't matter what Canada asks, Japan will determine what Canada deserves.

Yeah, we got the CB1100 in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, so is really Canada's turn to get both, first the GB750 and soon after the Hawk1100

Honda Powersports Canada showrooms are getting less and less showcase real estate.
It is really sad.
I have a friend in Germany who told me that a similar thing is happening in Central Western Europe. It doesn't seem to be a top down management decision from Japan, rather local dealer networks feel they do not get enough, valuable support from Honda and they move to BMW and others - resp. give less floor-space to Hondas, and more to other bikes. A slow process which should make Japan think again.
