It will probably take about a week for it to arrive at my door. I have no idea about the decibel levels. It wasn't/isn't a concern actually.(02-23-2015, 11:39 PM)Inline4_imp Wrote: I woke up this morning and saw that I had an email from Takashi. He wanted my phone number because my exhaust is ready to ship!!! ![]() Here is a short clip that I found of the exhaust on a CB1100. RE: Email from Takashi - Inline4_imp - 02-27-2015 Happy and interesting.............. This morning I checked the shipping progress and saw that my parcel had already made it to customs at JFK. (Obviously delighted, but JFK?) Whatever. I was surprised and delighted to see that my exhaust had made it to the shores of the USA. Even more surprising is that, when getting my mail tonight I see a notice from the post office that I have a package at the local office. I can't get by there until Monday morning, but could this be my exhaust? No way!!!!!! BUT, I haven't ordered anything but the Nojima in the last couple months! I guess I'll find out Monday morning. I just hope I can sleep between now and then.
RE: Email from Takashi - the Ferret - 02-27-2015 Hope its not from the IRS.... I kid! Probably the exhaust. They are always late reporting progress on shipping RE: Email from Takashi - lola_imp - 02-28-2015 looks like its going to be worth the wait So photos and a sound clip when all is said and done
RE: Email from Takashi - Inline4_imp - 03-02-2015 Well I got the exhaust unpacked, and I must say the craftsmanship is even more outstanding than the pics show! Just a beautiful piece of art, that once installed and tuned, will perform as beautifully as it is constructed. (One should never take pics of items laying on a dark dining table. )[url=http://smg.photobucket.com/user/z1zr7/media/001_zpsid67ab6v.jpg.html] ![]() [url=http://smg.photobucket.com/user/z1zr7/media/002_zps90tjby8e.jpg.html] ![]() [url=http://smg.photobucket.com/user/z1zr7/media/003_zpsnb4sbhci.jpg.html] ![]() [url=http://smg.photobucket.com/user/z1zr7/media/005_zpshd0txowx.jpg.html] ![]() [url=http://smg.photobucket.com/user/z1zr7/media/006_zpskbznvjjy.jpg.html] ![]() [url=http://smg.photobucket.com/user/z1zr7/media/007_zpshefzv9xz.jpg.html] ![]() The only disappointment is the Nojima decals. I was hoping for a decal of the Nojima badge on the muffler. Oh well, at least it will be fine on my tool chest. [url=http://smg.photobucket.com/user/z1zr7/media/008_zpsisnuxqcr.jpg.html]
RE: Email from Takashi - the Ferret - 03-02-2015 Wow that looks very well made. What is the long bolt for? And what is that little cut out thingy (3rd pic from top?) RE: Email from Takashi - Inline4_imp - 03-02-2015 I haven't looked at the instructions yet, but the long bolt and the piece next to is what I believe to be the bracket that alloyws you to retain the centerstand. The 3rd pic is part of the collector. Here are another couple pics of the same piece. BTW< I feel the same about pic taking as I do about leaving messages on an answering machine.. just not real comfortable doing either. RE: Email from Takashi - the_undecider_imp - 03-02-2015 Looks really nicely crafted. That spiral twist is killer!
