RE: Samurider does Ryujin! - rusty1_imp - 03-06-2015 I order one of this last December and ask MR T. to send it in February which he did. So far he has been good to deal with. The paint work is better than excellent really deep not a flaw. I am posting some pic's, I went with the Honda painted on and removed the round Honda wing more like the cb1100f of 1983. The cb1100f Canadian Model IMO is the best looking bike in our time. I would really like some gold rims like the jb- power, may be next year. RE: Samurider does Ryujin! - CB4ME_imp - 03-06-2015 Rusty - Unbelievable! Did you pick from an available design? Did you ship your tank and side panels or order all new? Your bike is a show stopper!

So far he has been good to deal with. Wow! Congrats, Rusty! That is very close to my dream bike (I'd have gone with the red/white/blue). Beautiful! Samurider does Ryujin! - Elipten_imp - 03-07-2015 I agree red, white and blue is my fav. But I'd be happy with either. I dreamed of having Peter Fonda's Capt. America paint job on my CB tank, but I'm conflicted that it is not appropriate. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk RE: Samurider does Ryujin! - CB4ME_imp - 03-08-2015 An interesting tidbit - according to Takashi, the CEO for Ryujin never expected to receive orders from overseas customers and was very happy at the prospect (seeing $$$$ signs?). ![]() Takashi also mentioned that he will be visit Ryujin in Osaka in the near future to learn more (and hopefully start adding lots of Ryujin products to his website). If you have always dreamed of a particular paint scheme or version of the venerable CB750/CB900/CB1100, now may be the time to share this with Takashi. RE: Samurider does Ryujin! - rboe - 03-09-2015 Oh krap. This could get expensive.
RE: Samurider does Ryujin! - Ack-CB11_imp - 03-09-2015 Wow, The F model is very cool. Looks awesome Rusty Ebay 83 1100f, they look very close. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-CB-1983-honda-cb-1100-f-vintage-2-nd-owner-12-600-miles-/121590866936?forcerrptr=true&hash=item1c4f6163f8&item=121590866936&pt=US_motorcycles RE: Samurider does Ryujin! - Inline4_imp - 03-10-2015 I used to won both a red AND a blue CB-F (at the same time, mind you) To this day I can't make up my mind which color scheme I like the best. I've always been a Honda Red kind of guy, but darn it that blue has a certain sex appeal to it as well.
RE: Samurider does Ryujin! - rusty1_imp - 03-11-2015 cb4me Yes I picked the design from Ryujin web site. Yes I did buy a new tank and side covers for two reasons I did not want to paint my beautiful blue tank [ I can have a red bike on one ride and have a blue bike the next day] and the cost of shipping me tank and side covers to Japan. As for the colour Honda colour is red and I just love the candy glory red Honda colour [1979&1980 cbx]and in 1982 cb1100f with gold rims. The blue would be my 2nd choice. When JB power starts to make rims for the 2014 cb1100 I will add gold rims too. Thank you for the positive posts. Mr. T say's this is the first one he has sent to North America. My best friend and wife just shake's her head. When we go for a ride together she always what's to take the FJR. But my go to bike is the cb1100! I just like the way is go around corners and is so comfy to ride. RE: Back in the day, - Ack-CB11_imp - 04-30-2015 Seeing Rusty1's post on the TSR tread reminded me how much I love his kit. Looks so awesome! I have flashbacks of a new one at Depot Honda in Hampton NH, my home town. It was my uncle's dealership, he would let all over the new models. I could stop daily on my way home from high school in the early 80's. This could be trouble, must keep control...................... It was a Honda bike shop and British Leyland cars, remember the TR8? |
