RE: ChicDesign short rear fender owners - tried or considering this? - Lord Popgun - 10-01-2015 Around here (Norfolk area) the cops and DOT pay no attention to things like that. However a commercial dump truck driver told me they get checked heavily, especially for working lights. BUT if you have blue lights or lighting, the local police and/or State Police WILL have a discussion with you, and maybe issue a citation. RE: ChicDesign short rear fender owners - tried or considering this? - uscgmac_imp - 10-02-2015 Honestly im glad your interested in the bike but im thinking your a little ahaid of yourself. I would purchase the bike first, get to know it and enjoy it then after you have established a relationship with what you like and dont like on the bike then you could do your mods. Not much sense in putting all the effort in if you dont actually have or get the bike. Get the bike first and start from there. Just my honest opinion. RE: ChicDesign short rear fender owners - tried or considering this? - Riko_imp - 10-02-2015 true. Know that I already backed down on a few mods I made in my head. ![]() 1 thing I do know is that bike needs a fairing. RE: ChicDesign short rear fender owners - tried or considering this? - nep71_imp - 10-02-2015 Riko I'm doing exactly the same as you. Don't own one yet, but doing lots of research. I like to customise and have a certain look I want to create. While I like the CB very much, I still want it be 'my version' of a CB. So looking at rear fender, exhaust 'melody', brake disc possibilities, spoke wheels, maybe wider rear wheel... Even an inverted fork swap. Whilst I agree you need to get to know a bike. I also need to know I can get it where I want it to be in the end. I took this approach with my Thruxton and it worked for me, still love it. RE: ChicDesign short rear fender owners - tried or considering this? - Riko_imp - 10-10-2015 Or how cool would it be the put "build-in taillights" in the rear ChicDesign fender? These are small 20mm diameter LED taillights: http://www.bikermart.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=255-143-4 Would be interesting to see that ChicDesign fender without the rear taillight that comes with the package... ![]() So, wanted to ask if some owners perhaps have some pictures of that ChicDesign fender without the taillight? So i can see how big and how many (I assume 2) holes there are. EDIT: found some picture in one of the albums of the CB1100 facebook page! RE: ChicDesign short rear fender owners - tried or considering this? - Rebel73_imp - 10-10-2015 Nep, the Thruxton was initially my first choice but then I discovered the CB and here I am. How would you compare the two? |
