Samurider order question - Elipten_imp - 06-18-2014

Mine come through Chicago customs. Tracking ends when it gets there.

Hmmm That's odd. Mine was delivered by USPS. It stalled for a day when the package hit customs in L.A., but then the tracking picked up again all the way to my door.

Thanks for the replies. I am hoping my package arrives by the weekend which may be a possibility.

My package from Samurider arrived on Saturday via USPS. I am very pleased as the package was sent on Tuesday and arrived at my doorstep on Saturday. I highly recommend Samurider to anyone looking to purchase accessories for their motorcycle. The prices are great and Mr. T was very responsive in answering my many emails.

Agreed, he has better business ethics than many companies I've dealt with here in the US. Faster shipping too!

The postal system is a convenient whipping boy for many, but from my experiences with the USPS and Canada Post, I think they do a pretty darn good job.
I do a fair amount of online shopping in the US and I'm sometimes amazed at how quickly my package will clear customs and is delivered.
I placed an online order with Whitehorse Press in New Hampshire on 16 June and received it today, 23 June. Pretty hard to find fault with that.
I've noted the delivery times from Japan many of you have commented on and that's very impressive.

I'm glad the USPS is treating their (overseas isn't the right word here) customers, because if you live here and need to order something, FedEx is the only way to go (unless you want the box flattened, in which case call UPS).

Again, speaking from my own experience, I've been shopping online with many USA companies for many years and almost all the items come by USPS and Canada Post and have always arrived in good condition and undamaged.
I always specify shipping by USPS because UPS charges brokerage, customs and handling fees right off the top. Add in the cost of shipping and our 93 cent dollar against the US greenback, it's just not worth it. If there is no other option but UPS, and if I can't absolutely do without the item, I'll bite the bullet, otherwise I pass and look elsewhere.
75% of the time my package will arrive at the door free of any customs or handling charges. Canada has relaxed many of the rules (dollar amounts) regarding cross-border shopping and things move along very quickly.
The online shopping business for motorcycle related items is huge and finally there are companies in Canada now that I can deal with. Some even ship free over a certain dollar amount - usually $100.00.
My S&W crash guards just arrived from a Canadian online dealer free of charge.

strange, I ordered 3 items and he send it in 2 packages....
he said Japan post would send me a mail with the tracking number within 12hours.

all is good now it seems

No problems here with 'Mr. T' - great experience on my purchase through him. I've starting using USPS much more for packages these days - I always used to use UPS. They've gotten expensive over the past 2 years, probably since they're losing some business to USPS and Fed-Ex Ground. Fed-Ex Ground has gotten more competitive too.

Cheers!
