RE: AMA membership? - GoldOxide_imp - 02-03-2020 Towing by AMA or AAA? Sounds like it served you, even if in passing on the bike in the end? RE: AMA membership? - Charlie Bravo_imp - 02-04-2020 It was actually Geico towing add-on for my insurance policy. RE: AMA membership? - Gone in 60 - 02-04-2020 I spoke with an AMA rep yesterday. My membership ends this month, and I asked to stop my auto-renewal. Looking at my riding, it's 99.9% between work and home, or running errands near work or home. I have support at both ends, a work van, and an 11-mile Uber ride either way if I'm stuck, which has only happened once. RE: AMA membership? - emptysea - 02-04-2020 plus you most likely can add towing/roadside assist to your motorcycle policy RE: AMA membership? - Gone in 60 - 02-04-2020 You got me thinking... I just logged on to my USAA account and looked at additional coverage available. It lists towing available for my cars, but not for my bikes. Pretty sure USAA contracts with Progressive for motorcycle coverage. Might see if they offer it, but might not be able to, since I technically am insured through USAA on all vehicles. RE: AMA membership? - Cobalt23_imp - 02-05-2020 Thanks for the heads up, I will be checking my AAA and State Farm! |
