We drove to Jacksonville last week and dropped off the old seat at Sargent http://www.sargentcycle.com/ for some much needed mods and here's the result, much better support and looks fabulous.

Can you provide pic how is finished on the other/inner side, please

Since the original seat base is used there is little difference other than it is done as well or maybe a bit better than stock.

The rider seat area was brought forward about an inch and a "pocket" formed, wider than stock but kept narrow at front for good ground reach. Foam in the rider seat was replaced with Sargent's "Atomic Foam" and seat was covered with a textured vinyl with red welting. $352 with tax.

Do you get better ground reach with that narrowing at the front?

Have you kept original seat height or is it also a bit lower than stock?

thanks!

Seat height is about the same but reach seems slightly better. Sargent will make the seat anyway you want. I have the advantage of living close by and Pamela was able to express her wishes directly to the tech who would make the mods. If sending the seat to them, I would make a drawing of how I wanted the seat to look along with info on lowering or raising seat height.
