Oldschool,

Beware that (usually) Chic Design builds the RC to order. So it can take a couple of weeks sometimes for delivery. Just know that as soon as Mr. T gets it in his hands, it will ship and be at your house in 2-3 days, usually.

Be aware that the base RC is a solid color. If you want the stripe it costs more. Here is the link to the RC2 for a 2013 model: https://www.samurider.com/?p=17480

Not that this matters, but I have the RC1 in silver with no stripe and a tinted screen (costs more too) on my red ‘13. NOT cheap, but, buy once cry once Smile

To add: No modifications needed. It mounts in 3 places. On each side of the headlight You install some mounting spacers and then a little bracket that goes on the horn mount stud. One you do that you can then remove or re-install the RC in 5 minutes or less. I remove mine in the Fall and mount a Street Shield EX. And I don’t even remove the little bracket or mounting spacers.

So, based on the two pieces of info
per above...what I'm seeing is:
the vertical distance between the headlight and the horn is differently spaced on the '13 vs. '14.

Thus, the chic fairing's mounting points - headlight bucket pivot spacers & horn mount stud - are not in the same relative positions between model yrs.

Does that sound about right?

Thank you everyone, I got the fairing ordered from Samurider.com made to order for my bike. Everyone has been very helpful. This is a great forum. Thanks again Oldschool2.

Jedd, it sounds about right, but I have never seen ‘14 in person so can’t say exactly. I think there is discussion about it somewhere on the forum though.
