another q...can you hear intake noise with that set up?

RE: Motogear Titanium Header and TSR Air Funnel - HondaJon_imp - 12-15-2013

Nope, no intake noise, but the exhaust note is a bit louder due to the lack of a CAT.
CB4ME,

I'm done with the powertrain after the dynotune. The only other mod I may do is change the rear shocks. I'll wait for you to report on the ones you just installed before I move forward.

That air funnel REALLY makes a difference..Much more than I thought it would. The stock PC V maps seems to be working fine, but the dynotune is indeed in order

And, if I can get my hands on one, Install a Mugen chain guard....

Here is the Motogear header instructions. Note the silver vaccum valve on the airbox lid and all those hoses on pic #3. Glad we didn't get that piece of additional emissions equipment.

Having her dyno'ed today at 0900. Will post the results. Hoping for at least 95 HP...We'll see..

Wow! If a stock bike dyno's at around 80 hp, that's a 20% hp gain! Excited Banana Beer

Ok, guys, my shop was having printer issues and was told the map will be e-mailed to me. They were pretty busy today and as of this writing I have not yet received it. I know, no pics = it never happened. The map will be posted once I get it. Here is how it went.

The stock PC V map was pretty close, but it is a little lean up top.

The speed sensor seems to be an issue because it limits the bike to around 6K in 3rd gear, If you unplug it, the ECU knows somehow and it causes errors and doesn't allow for a complete tune. My shop is going to call Dynojet Monday and ask if they have any updates/fixes.

Bazzaz makes a fuel control similar to the PC V that has a "Speed Amplifier" that supposedly overcomes the sensor somehow. http://www.bazzaz.net/instructions/F391i.pdf I had never heard of them, but my shop told me the company was founded by an ex-Dynojet engineer and puts out good products. Maybe Deanohh can figure out what this "Speed Amplifier" does...

I am happy with the results and she runs super smooth. 97 HP was the final number and the power delivery is much more linear and instantaneous.

What I learned:

Titanium will turn colors just like stainless, so skip the polish option
CAT free is the only way to go if you really want to see what she can do
A speed sensor solution is needed to tune the bike to its full potential
The TSR air funnel makes a BIG difference
NO popping at all on decel, plug that PAIR valve

Bazzaz install is not exactly pnp. Bazzaz info says the amplifier is used to determine what gear the bike is in. It taps the speed sensor wire and I don't see how it could affect the speed limiter because the ecu doesn't get its speed signal directly from the sensor but from the Speedo head or if. Abs, from the abs brain. If the Speedo reads 112, the ecu sees 112, unless I'm wrong.
