RE: Engine guards - Wind_imp - 04-13-2020 Thanks a lot guys! Good friends always give good advices. I am googling for sellers and prices now. I will keep you posted on my choice. RE: Engine guards - PowerDubs_imp - 04-13-2020 I have the SW Motech. I crashed the bike- the left bar bent back stopping just before any contact with the engine case. Not a scratch on the engine. My leg was trapped under the bike and presumingly took an impact between the bike and the ground. I can't promise- but I think if I didn't have these crash bars my leg would have been in a lot worse shape- maybe broken, maybe gone. If I were to ever ride again, or could go back in time- I would wear the highest boots I could find. Oh, and buy another set of the SW motech bars! They should sell them in L & right for people that want to replace a damaged one. RE: Enger ride comfort.ine guards - Rexburgtom_imp - 04-14-2020 I also have the SW-Motech in black. It looks great, easy install and is a place to mount driving/riding lights for increased visibility/safety but I also mounted some freeway pegs for long rides for comfort. RE: Engine guards - bioman_imp - 04-15-2020 The black SW-Motech for me too. Reasonably priced, looks OK and seems high quality. RE: Engine guards - PowerDubs_imp - 04-15-2020 So I looked around, having damaged my left SWM bar- and TwistedThrottle has them on 'pre-season' sale for $130.xx and free shipping. I placed the order yesterday afternoon and they were delivered this morning!! RE: Engine guards - the Ferret - 04-15-2020 Wow that's fast! RE: Engine guards - Wind_imp - 04-17-2020 ![]() Thanks again for all the inputs. I am waiting for a quotation form Samurider for the genuine Honda ones, and checking the SW Motech and Hepco Becker. Still not decided yet... RE: Engine guards - Houtman_imp - 04-17-2020 WIND , check also with Samurider the Over st. st guards !!! RE: Engine guards - will866_imp - 04-20-2020 love my oem's. used them the other day. RE: Engine guards - Cormanus - 04-20-2020 That doesn't sound good. |
